Synthesis philosophica is an international scientific journal of Croatian Philosophical Society based in Zagreb, Republic of Croatia. The journal is known for being open to new ideas, approaches and methodologies, to diversity of orientations, schools of thought and ways of thinking, including multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary studies, but also to marginalized or unfairly neglected themes.

As an open access journal, Synthesis philosophica supports the concept of open science and does not charge for its service. All content is freely available to users or their institutions at no charge. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link, or use the full texts of the articles for any non-commercial lawful purpose without first obtaining permission from the publisher or author, but must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.

Synthesis philosophica regularly publishes two issues per year since 1986, and publishes exclusively original scientific papers, preliminary communications and review papers, but also critical reviews (recensions) of newly published (original or translated) monographies, collected works, collections of papers, encyclopaedias, dictionaries and other types of work relevant for the field of interest. Occasionally, the journal publishes reports on events such as international conferences.
