Social Semiotics is a journal dedicated to exploring the application of semiotics in social structures and everyday life, encompassing a wide range of semiotic resources and practices such as language, visual arts, body language, social environments, audio elements, and design layouts. These semiotic resources and practices not only form the foundation of our communication and understanding of the world but also play a key role in shaping social relationships and power dynamics. The journal encourages authors to deeply analyze specific semiotic phenomena, reveal how they generate meaning in different socio-cultural contexts, and critically assess how these semiotic practices may inadvertently reinforce or challenge existing social biases and power structures.

Furthermore, the journal advocates for interdisciplinary research perspectives, integrating theories and methods from fields such as sociology, psychology, anthropology, and communication studies to enrich the understanding of semiotic phenomena.
